“I Pray Each Day To Save Our Animals From Hunger”
Read this first hand report from Cristescu Cristina at the St. Francis Shelter in Romania. She writes:
“This week we added 15 pups who were thrown out and also a lot of big dogs, which were left at the shelter door.We could not leave them in the field, starving. We have to de worm, de flea, vaccinate and neuter the adults. The number of animal increased to 330. We dad a lot of expenses which are never ending including materials for building 10 more pens, repairs, workers’ wages, medical payments for other dogs surgeries and more. Yesterday I have bought 660 kg of the cheapest dry food for dogs from the last money I had in shelter’s paypal account. Meaning that we can feed the dogs until 17 June. I have no other money left and a huge list of payments for materials (for timber, sand, concrete, metal pillars), vets, 2 workers to be paid and 330 animals to feed every day. We have a daily worker in the shelter who is helping Mr. Stefan with all is to do, as he is very sick and need a surgery and can not go in hospital until we can finish the back yard fence and the new pens to move around 60 dogs in. This man costs 180 Euros/month, money that we have to raise from donations. I pray each day to save our animals from hunger.”
The Harmony Fund is sending another $1,000 now for emergency food supply but we can’t do it alone. We hope you’ll find as much joy as we do in reaching out to Romanian rescue teams and ask that you please consider making a donation on our easy-to-use website here http://animalrescuechase.com/donation/project-romania.html
