The Pangkor doggo’s name apparently is Barbus. There were some people taking care of him and he was fine until two days ago. An X-Ray shows a broken back. Barbus also had a lot of urine in his bladder which has since been compressed out. He has been affixed with a catheter. We are allowing Barbus to rest and relax a few days after which we will see if he is fit for surgery or otherwise. A general blood test as well as tests for tick fever and heartworm will be done. His skin is very bad and a thyroid function test will also be done.

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
