We lost our Dodi yesterday. Dr suspects its lymphoma. Dodi was rescued in Terengganu in 2017 with TVT and injuries. She was also with three puppies – two of which died before they could be rescued. A pet taxi was dispatched to bring Dodi and the pup to us. It was eventually discovered that the puppy was not Dodi’s as vets could tell that she has not littered for a while. However, she had taken care of the puppies like they were her own. The puppy that came from Terengganu, TengTeng, went of to Chicago, USA as she was adopted by someone there. After a couple of years, one of Dodi’s front limb swelled-up and wounds started to form. It had to be amputated. And x-ray revealed particles that looked like gunshot residue. So Dodi may have been shot. We hope that Dodi had found some peace and happiness with us. Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
