Celebrating The Life Of Polo 2012-2024. Whether Yo..

Celebrating the life of Polo (2012-2024) 🌈🕊️

Whether you knew her as Dame-Polo Freelove, Dame-Polo De La Soi or simply Polo; whether you admired her statue at the sanctuary in Thailand, met her at an event in the UK or followed her humorous Facebook page online – many of you will be familiar with this Soi Dog legend.

Polo was rescued by our co-founder Gill Dalley as an emaciated puppy in 2013. Following an incredible recovery, she was adopted by Gill’s best friend Donna Freelove in the UK later that same year. They became an inseparable duo.

After more than a decade of love and hijinks together, Polo recently passed peacefully in Donna’s arms.

⬇️ To honour Polo’s memory, we invite you to share your stories, photos and videos of her in the comments below. “No less than a national outpouring of grief would satisfy her lust for attention!” says Donna.

She added, “Thank you for loving her from here & afar. Thank you for laughing with her on her journey. If she made people smile with her caustic view on life and forthright opinions on everything, then her job in this world is done.

Please know that she passed in my arms, with her beloved Grannie beside her, completely of her own accord, on her terms… exactly the way she lived her life.

Some of her ashes have gone in with Gill’s and I’m hoping they have found each other & are now sat in a heavenly yet seedy bar somewhere gossiping & swearing to their hearts content.

Thank you to John & Gill Dalley from Polo & myself for rescuing my girl along with so many others. Without you dedicating your lives to building Soi Dog Foundation, where would these innocent souls be?

To my darling Polo, I have no answers now but this much I can say. I know I’ll need you ‘til the stars all burn away. And you’ll be there.” 🧡
