Far from the broken dog who was mercilessly shot with a harpoon, Mackerel is now a happy boy on a bucket 🐶🪣!

It’s something we expect out of our feline friends more than a canine companion, but his jaunty curiosity is evidence that this beautiful dog has come out on top! 💪🏻🔝.

We first posted about Mackerel back in February when he was receiving treatment in our hospital. It was a long process, but he made it through.

Now, Happy-go-lucky Mackerel is a sanctuary resident, and he will never worry that a human might show him cruelty. Rather, he will be lovingly cared for and told what a good boy he is every day!
