It was a proud moment for smallholders in Sabah when Mr. Chiu, an independent smallholder representing the Koperasi Landskap Kelapa Sawit Sabah Berhad (LKSS), received the RSPO Certificate at the Independent Smallholder Certificate Handover Ceremony during the RSPO Annual Roundtable Conference on Sustainable Palm Oil in Jakarta.

LKSS is the first growers’ cooperative in Malaysia to receive this group certification. Its achievement paves the way for smallholders and medium-sized growers in Sabah to achieve group certification in line with Sabah’s ambition for 100% RSPO certification of palm oil by 2025.
