On Our Way Back From Kg. Pasir Gajah Last Thursday..

On our way back from Kg. Pasir Gajah last Thursday, we came across a box turtle that was run over by a vehicle.

It was bleeding profusely so we brought it back to the office, and then subsequently removed even more blood clots.

Unfortunately, all vet clinics in Kemaman do not have experience treating reptiles (we’ve asked many times in the past when our terrapins had health issues).

So yesterday, we drove 2 hours to send it to a vet clinic in Kuala Terengganu for treatment. Our former intern Dr. Lim Wei Li is now attached to this clinic and we are sure he and his colleagues will do their best to save the box turtle.

Most box turtles end up as road kills because against the tyres of vehicles, they stand no chance. But this one is a 3-legged fighter. Please pray for Boxy 🙏🏻
