Another Turtle Camp For Sk Kuala Kemaman Last Year..

Another turtle camp for SK Kuala Kemaman! Last year, we visited this school for Turtle Camp. We received great support and active participation, so here we are again, at SK Kuala Kemaman, conducting another round of Turtle Camp for the students.

During our first activity, the Turtle Talk,the students listened attentively to the talk given by our research officer, Aminah, who shared her knowledge on the various species of turtles in Malaysia, the danger faced by turtles in nature and what the students can do to take part in conserving the environment~ 🌱

Other than that, we had also prepared a physical exhibition consisting of hatchlings, eggs, shells and bones of terrapins, flat shells and tortoises for the students to check out. The students had the opportunity to move their legs and brain with the educational mini-games we had prepared for them. Played in teams, they were tasked to complete the mini-games at each checkpoint to complete the game.

We extend our gratitude to the teachers of SK Kuala Kemaman for their help. We are also thankful to Deleum Sdn Bhd for sponsoring 6 Turtle Camps, including this one! Spreading awareness and environmental education has been made easier with support and sponsorships from people like them.

P/s: We have 2 more schools to go, and tomorrow is the 5th one at SK Pusat, Kemaman!

Turtle Conservation Society

The Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia was established in October 2011. The aim of the society is to bring about the recovery of depleted wild populations of turtles, with particular reference to freshwater turtles, in Malaysia through partnerships with like-minded organizations, individuals and local communities as well as through its own programs.
