High Cost Of Cheap Water

 



Water is Life! But it doesn’t come from a tap; it comes from nature.

And the world is facing a worsening water crisis – driven by the degradation of freshwater wetlands.

In line with this year’s World Food Day theme, ‘Water is Life. Water is Food.’, WWF today launched the ‘High Cost of Cheap Water’ report, shedding light on the true economic worth of water and freshwater ecosystems.

The report emphasised the need to invest in the protection and restoration of our rivers, lakes, wetlands, and aquifers. These ecosystems are the backbone of our communities and economies, offering us a wide range of irreplaceable values. 💧🌿
