Working together to improve the communication between various stakeholders, including the private sector as well as government agencies.

On 19 September 2023, the JCSC Labour Working Group, chaired by WWF-Malaysia, sought to address labour concerns, promote communication and encourage collaboration between growers, stakeholders and agricultural workers, through a panel discussion moderated by Society for Equality, Respect And Trust for All (SERATA), featuring various sectors: The Malaysian Palm Oil Board, Jabatan Tenaga Kerja, the Malaysian Trades Union Congress and the Immigration Department.

During the event, Climate Advisor to the State Government of Sabah, Datuk Darrel Webber in his keynote speech emphasises the importance of successful partnerships between all parties as well as sharing responsibility, and having to be the drive for positive change within the oil palm industry. This event also included a Q&A session where participants have their agricultural practices-related concerns being answered.
