WAD CARNIVAL UPDATES: BRINGING MORE TO YOU!

(a) SLAY Documentary Screening – 12:30pm to 1:45pm (1.5 hours)

From the producers of Cowspiracy and Rebecca Cappelli, SLAY takes a unique perspective on the animal skin trade in the fashion industry and what has to change. This is a featured documentary that brings together a host of celebrities, experts and campaigners to expose unethical practices whilst showcasing practical solutions. Slay asks us an important question to consider: Is it acceptable to kill animals for fashion?

(b) A Tale of the Didgeridoo – 2:30pm to 3:30pm (1 hour)

Embark on an interactive storytelling journey by Balakrishnan Matchap, exploring the ancient origins of the Didgeridoo—a musical marvel. Discover the extraordinary dreamtime story, specially designed for young children and those young at heart And even craft your Didgeridoo using recycled materials, all while learning special breathing techniques for emotional regulation.

(c) SEA OUR SHORES Game by Untamed Paths – 10am to 5pm

Delve into Singapore’s vibrant marine life with an exciting marine biodiversity-themed matching game, from seagrass, crabs, shrimp, clams, fish, stars to urchins. Let’s discover the lesser-known intertidal creatures through this engaging activity.

(d) Face and Body Painting by Lingzhi – 10am to 5pm

Express your creativity with face and body painting by Lingzhi, adding color and fun to the festivities.
