The aftermath of the floods 😭

Our Terrapin Guardians were recently able to return to the nesting bank to assess the damage.

It took them half a day to retrieve all our campbeds and microchips and to clean them off by the river. We are thankful the beds weren’t totally damaged or swept away in the flood!

We are also hoping that the nesting season hasn’t come to an end yet. We have collected almost 600 eggs so far, and our Terrapin Guardians will continue to maintain a presence on the river banks to ensure all terrapin eggs are protected for incubation.

Turtle Conservation Society

The Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia was established in October 2011.
