“WE BEGGED PEOPLE NOT TO LEAVE PUPPIES AT OUR ENTRANCE…”

“I run a no-kill shelter in Prijedor, Bosnia where we have 300 dogs saved from pounds, streets, dog fights and maltreatment.

I am writing you with a plea for help to spay 100 dogs which are in my custody. My shelter is financed solely by donations of good people, but since corona destroyed lots of businesses, we survive without many supporters.

We are caring for many puppies. In vain, we appealed and begged people when they find puppies to keep them until they are vaccinated, and we will send a vet and provide food. We begged in vain not to leave puppies in front of the entrance. In vain we try to awaken empathy and understanding, but nothing works!

So if you are able to help, please help us. We don’t get support from government because they finance death shelters (municipal dog pounds) at landfills. We’ve been fighting to bring the notorious death shelter Kurevo to an end, but we are still far away from it for now.”
