MOTHER DOGS & PUPS ASK US TO FEED HUNGRY DOGS LEFT BEHIND AT THE POUND….

Last year we successfully helped one of our rescuers in Romania to close down a brutal dog pound. We are now being asked if we can help again, this time in the neighboring town.

There is is pound there, Piatra Neamt, with similar horrors, and the dogs are very hungry. The dogs get only small bits of unpalatable food and many are too scared to eat. We just helped in rescuing two pregnant dogs, one of whom began giving birth when the dog catchers swung her in the air with their catch pole.

We now have both mother dogs and 17 puppies in foster care.

They are safe, but their friends at the pound desperately need our help. The first palette of food is about $550 and we could use your help with this. Of course, its not a one-time gesture, the dogs will need food on an ongoing basis, but we will take this one step at a time – and perhaps one day – we’ll be able to put an end to the cruelty here as well. Massive reform of Romania’s dog pounds is needed to stop this cycle of suffering.
