Once upon a time there was a kind-hearted man who could not look away. He saw hungry dogs, in all sizes and colors and many people walking past them without a care at all. The dogs shivered. Their ribs etched lines in their fur. But only one man stopped to help. The man’s name is Sasha and he began bringing food to the dogs on his way to work each day and quickly realized that he had a calling in this world….to become a guardian to the dogs who had no families of their own.

All year long, no matter the weather or world crisis, Sasha and his team must feed meals to all 750 dogs who now gather at his free-running dog sanctuary in Serbia. The dogs were all rescued from tremendouos hardship and now live safely and can run and play in the sun all day. At night, they sleep in dog houses and a very large building that was once used as for horses.

Funds for the food, come from Harmony Fund. We have been the primary sponsor of this dog sanctuary for years, and now that donations have slowed to a trickle, we need you more than ever. This month, we need to raise about $3,300 more in order to feed the dogs for the month of June.
