It’s true. The “lockdown” can be a lifelong sentence for rabbits forced to live in cages. No animal should live this way. Hutches were started by rabbit meat farmers. They permit survial, but they are like prison cells. No hopping in the grass. No companionship. Grossly inadequate shelter (underground burrows are tremendously better) Please, if you have a rabbit or know someone who does, encourage them to learn more about giving their rabbit space to safely hop around, companionship and a good diet.
