Dear People,. Never Ever Say That Tnrm Does Not Wo..

Dear people,

never ever say that TNRM does not work here. When MDDB started 10 years ago, TNRM was already in practice with many independant rescuers neutering and managing packs of stray dogs. Then came the private pest control companies into existence which some local councils outsourced jobs to. It was then that dog catching became a commercial pursuit and lucrative business. The contracted job was to carry out pest control activities that included fogging and getting rid of rats. Unfortunately, dogs are also categorised as pests, together with rats and mosquitoes and placed under the vector units of local councils. This clasification was made in the 50s by the British given that managing street dogs were not heard of then. Now, street dogs have to be removed from the vektor department .So, while cases of dengue are on the rise, with more than a 70 % hike this year in Selangor, the private pest control companies prefer catching dogs as they are bigger and easy prey. People complain because some actually believe the dogs are taken away and cared for. What is needed now is for local councils to disclose how much of of the vector department’s budget in terms of RM is spent on dog catching. Tax payers can then decide for themselves if they want to continue paying for street dogs to be eradicated or rather use the money to bring down the number of dengue cases. Pounds must also be open to rescuers so that they can share pics of the dismal conditions there. People can then decide if that is what they want when they decide to lodge complaints against street dogs. TNRM will work here as it has worked effectively in Istanbul. More so as there are many Malay dog rescuers and sympathisers now who can help push TNRM forward. If you are truly a dog, person – believe in TNRM. The death of five dogs must not blinker the death of hundreds of dogs that are caught, tossed into trucks, dragged out and dumped into crampped enclosures and almost starved, sprayed with water when enclosures are cleaned and then stabbed in the heart with euthanasia drugs. These dogs cry, scream and whimper as they die in fear. TNRM IS THE ONLY SOLUTION.
