In Memory of Miss Rocky Balboa

“You were so active. And girl, did you love your water tub! Age in a wild animal can be rather iffy, and we often take for granted that you will be with us till the very end when we have the honour of returning you home to your country of origin.

Alas, you stopped eating normally; stopped being as active as you used to be. You stopped taking dips in your water tub.

We treated your symptoms and even started tube feeding – just so you would have the energy to press on towards recovery. But you wanted it your way, and it was gut-wrenching to find your lifeless and frail body the next morning.

Well, Rocky girl, we hope you’re in a better place now. Not quite the freedom we had in mind for you, but you had to do what you had to do.

Rest in peace, Rocky girl.”
