DAY 3: KEEPING THE CATS ALIVE THIS WINTER

In day 3 of our Winter Readiness mission, we introduce you to the many, many cats who are in a precarious position in Bosnia. There are 45 cats now in this pension, and each month their bill has to be paid in order for them to stay. But just as the cold weather is moving in, the mounting debt for their care threatens the safety of these rescued cats.

Rescuer Edina Pasic has 100 dogs and 45 cats in paid care right now and many, many dozens that she feeds on the street daily. Over the last several years, she has rescued hundreds of animals, many of whom are now in good adoptive homes. But although people do help with the dogs, donations to cats are almost non-existent.

Today we’d like to help keep these cats safe. In DAY 3 of our Winter Readiness mission, we’re asking for help to keep these cats safely sheltered for the winter and to keep food flowing to the street animals who are still waiting for their chance to be rescued.
