WINTER Is COMING

- DAY 1 of WINTER READINESS MISSION-

With the cold weather nearly here, the Harmony Fund is throwing their arms around animal rescue squads in cold climates to offer food, shelter and protection for thousands of dogs and cats. We’ll be helping rescue squads in many ways:

1. SHELTER: Expand capacity to shelter more animals during winter

2. STOCKPILING: Stock their food-storage areas to make sure the animals eat on days when snow storms block roads

3. WINTER MATERIALS: Purchase straw, plywood, plastic sheeting for rescue centers that only have outdoor dog houses and kennels to offer to their animals. Others are receiving aid with firewood and coal.

4. REPAIRS: Roof repairs will be made to shelter buildings to elimiate the risk of roof collapse under the weight of snow

5. FOOD, FOOD, FOOD. We have thousands and thousands of mouths to feed daily. We’ll be buying tons of kibble each and every month and arming street patrols with as much food as they can carry for animals living on the streets and taking shelter in warehouses, garbage dumps and cemeteries.
