SO FAR FROM HOME

Barni and Queen B were fortunate to be back in their homeland in Malaysia. Unfortunately, Ernie, another giant Asian pond turtle like Queen B, was not scheduled for the trip home because of a shell deformity. Unable to fully retract her head, Ernie becomes vulnerable to predation, and so the ACRES Wildlife Rescue Centre will be her permanent sanctuary – her home away from home.

You can help Ernie and other turtles by being a Wildlife Supporter. Food for the animals in our care costs $2,500 to $3,000 every month, aside from medical expenses and manpower and we need your help to fund their sustenance.
