THE REASON WE GET UP EACH MORNING …..

The odds of survival were literally one in a million for this mother dog who was forced to give birth recently on cold concrete in one of the worst pounds in all of Serbia. But after a frantic rescue effort yesterday led by Miska Oksanen, they have just arrived safely in their new rescue center run by Goran Smardzic.

“We rescue thousands of animals all year long, but this one makes my heart overflow with gratitude,” Harmony Fund Founder Laura Simpson explains. “As we arrive at the 10 year anniversary of our founding, I am so moved to see how our very existence means the difference between life and terrible suffering for so many animals. For this family of dogs, the dark has turned to light. Now, they have hope, they have love and they have our protection. We will never let them be harmed.”
