AN EXCERPT FROM A STUDENT VOLUNTEERS REFLECTION
Before the (ACRES) talk, I have never really thought of how animals were treated in the world. I was aware of animal cruelty but I would have never known the extent (of animal abuse) for peoples own selfish gain.
ACRES has taught me how I can contribute to helping animals and that even a little would definitely help. After (my) VIA project, I have been more conscious about my surroundings, looking out for (wild) animals who have lost their way in my neighbourhood or stores that illegally sell animal parts.
Thank you, Clare from Singapore Chinese Girls’ School, for your encouraging words and compassionate heart for the animals! It was surely our honour and pleasure to have inspired you and your project team to be a voice for animals. Every one of us who CAN help is really important to these animals.
