MEET OUR NOVEMBER INTERN!

Dominic Wong, an 18 years old student from Jurong Junior College who has so much passion and enthusiasm to learn about the wild animals. He signed up for the ACRES internship programme with the animal care department from 1st to 11th November.

Through this programme, Dominic got to experience the basic reptile handling and husbandry at our rescue centre. Besides that, he also followed our 24-hr wildlife rescue team to experience the day-to-day rescue operations.

Dominic was not only a good team player and a responsible individual, but also was curious to learn more from the rest of the ACRES staff members through our lunch hour chats.

We wish him all the best in his studies, and we look forward to seeing him play his part in helping more animals in need.

ACRES (Animal Concerns Research & Education Society) is a pioneering Singapore-based charity and Institution of Public Character, founded by Singaporeans in 2001 with the aim of promoting animal welfare.

ACRES has six focus areas: Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation, Wildlife Crime Investigation, Zoo Animal Welfare, Humane Education, Community Outreach and Promoting Cruelty-Free Living.
