When you call our 24hr ACRES Wildlife Rescue Hotline to report a snake sighting, we will ask for a description of the snake (colours, patterns, posture, length and thickness). We also request for a photo of the snake to be sent to us via WhatsApp.
This helps us to identify the species before we can provide you with useful advice on what to do until we arrive, or if a rescue is even needed.
Here are some photos of some native species of snakes that we have rescued recently.
Can you guess what species are they and their common diet?
Most often, when found in drains, gardens, potted plants and green spaces, it is best to leave snakes alone, and they will try their best to move away from humans.
Please remember to call our 24hr ACRES Wildlife Rescue Hotline at 9783 7782 for assistance if you see any wild animal in distress.
Have a great weekend everyone!
