DOG OF WAR STILL TRYING TO “KISS” RESCUERS

“This poor little soul came today to our shelter,” said Viktoria Vasileva of the PIF shelter in Donestk, Ukraine. “The girl was injured in Debaltsevo several months ago. Debaltsevo is one of the hot spots on Ukraine’s map where military conflict is still going on The nature of her injuries is unknown, we can only guess at what really happened to her, but most likely it was a fragment of a shell that caused them. It’s scary to imagine how much pain and suffering this unfortunate little creature has had to endure. One’s heart hurts just looking at Mosya (this is how we named her). She reaches out to people, wagging her tail, trying to lick our hands with the remnants of her tongue. She has no nose and her both jaws are mostly gone, but she has survived, she’s a fighter, and she hasn’t stopped trusting people in spite of everything she’s been through. Goddamn this war!!”
