Audrey Hepburns Legacy Of Humanitarian Work

As a child, I saw Audrey Hepburn as Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady and have since watched it so many times till I know her dialogue by-heart.

But as celebrated as she is as a highly talented and beautiful actress and dancer, she is now most remembered for her humanitarian work and she lives on in the many lives she has saved and touched.

She is my favourite actress and is likely to remain so.

Today would have been her 85th birthday.

Audrey Hepburn passed away of appendiceal cancer in 1993, aged 63. But her humanitarian work continues now through the Audrey Hepburn Children’s Fund:

We may not be famous celebrities, but I hope Audrey Hepburn’s legacy will inspire all of us to do whatever we can while we are alive to help the needy (animals included, of course!) and who knows, our work may continue to live on inspiring others after we die.
