“I live in Bahrain. In this country, animals have no rights and most children were not taught to be kind to animals. One day, we were driving around with a Bahraini friend, we saw a group of children dangling a kitten from it’s tail and hitting him.

This friend of mine took the kitten away from the children as obviously the kitten was in very bad shape. Maybe even dirt as he was full of worms and he has such a stench in his stomach.

I took him in not intending to keep him but just to foster him because I had a cat and a dog already. Anyway, when I got him home, I gave him a bath and I put antibiotic ointment for animals in his eyes. Then I gave him food. Surprisingly after he ate, he knew where the litter was and knew how to use it. After he used the litter, his stomach would balloon again as hard as it could get. Animal Rescue Chase

The Great Animal Rescue Chase celebrates the art of animal rescue with a worldwide race to rescue one million. It’s a free event, open to all, and is perhaps the only global animal rescue event aimed at helping any animal in distress, anywhere in the world. Our ambition is to create a culture of enthusiasm and pride in animal activism. We believe in teaching, by example, that there is a hero in each of us just waiting to be unleashed. Empowered animal lovers can not only save lives, but build the momentum for powerful animal welfare reform.
